Kunniyur village is located in Mannargudi taluka of Thiruvarur district in Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated 11 km away from Thiruvarur, which is both district & sub-district headquarter of Kunniyur village. Our family stayed in Kunniyur for many years. Currently we have all moved to different locations due to employment and other requirements. However we make sure to visit kunniyur once a year or whenever there’s any occasion to visit Kamakshi Amman temple (our Kula Deivam) and to meet the village people. All of us enjoy the visits and the next generation is also equally happy and following the tradition. We have lots of good memories to cherish and in every gathering we share several anecdotes about our ancestral village to our kids.
